Sogo Park Facility
The park located on the west side of the city against the background of Yata Hill's vast nature area has an athletic field, tennis court, baseball ground, gymnasium etc., and is functioning as the central sports park.
Location: 2 Yatayama-cho
Multi-purpose athletic field: Multi-purpose athletic field: rubber-ball baseball (2), soft-ball baseball (4), children's soccer (2), ball ground for ground golf etc. (7). Multi-purpose gymnasium: volley ball (3), basket ball (2), badminton (8), soft-ball tennis (2), table tennis (22), training room, indoor running course (200m) etc.
Culture ward: auditory room, training room, Japanese-style tatami room, traditional culture room, kitchen
Parking lot: approx. 400 vehicles

Kujo Park/ Kujo Sports Center
The retained heat from the city's Sanitary Center is reused for keeping the inside facility and the pool temperature warm. The building is covered with a movable roof that provides an open air pool in summer and indoor heated pool in other seasons.
Location: 100 Kujo-cho
Pool: 25m*6 lanes/ depth 1.1m, infant pool: 13m*6m/ depth 85cm and 55cm.
Gymnastic room: The room can be used as a basket ball court, a volley ball court, 3 badminton courts, or 4 table tennis courts.
Kujo gate ball ground: 2 grounds (20m*15m) 9:00a.m.~5:00p.m. (2 hours per game)
Others: meeting room (accommodates up to 30 people)
There is a charge for using the facility.
Jogging course and Fitness room: Several courses are delivered. (The room's aim is to promote and strengthen your health).
*Jogging course is free of charge.

*Open hours for pool during July and August are from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in rotation. During other seasons, opening hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Other facilities are open from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m..
Closed on Tuesdays, the day following a national holiday, and from December 26th through January 5th.

Kujo Athletic Facility (Kujo Ground)
Location: 100 Kujo-cho
Soccer ground, rubber-ball base ball ground, 2 soft-ball base ball grounds

Closed on Tuesdays, the following day of a national holiday, and from December 26th through January 5th. (Please note that the facility will be closed from November, 2009 to February, 2011).
*Application for permission to use the facility can be made from 3 months prior. The usage of the facility will be decided by lottery. Please inquire for the date.
Nishiike Ground
This multi-purpose ground was reclaimed from Nishi-ike (reservoir) to build the facilities in the southern part of the city in order to abolish differences between the facilities of the northern region.
Location: 48-1 Kitanishi-cho
Main facilities: rubber ball baseball ground, soft-ball ground, soccer ground, rugby ground, 3 golf grounds, 7 gate ball grounds, recreations, field day, light sports.
Parking lot: approx. 40 vehicles
Bicycle parking lot: approx. 50 bikes

Budo-jo (Martial Arts Gymnasium)
The Budo-jo was opened in June 2001 to restore the castle town Yamatokoriyama's traditional martial arts, in order to promote citizen based sports activities.
Location: 211-3 Kita Koriyama-cho
Facility outline: total floor area 1,250m2
Main facilities: 1F: Kendo-jo (2 spaces), Kyudo-jo (5 standing archers), meeting room, 2F: Judo-jo (2 spaces), training room, meeting room

*Open hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and closed on Tuesdays, 3rd Wednesdays, and from December 28th through January 4th.
*Martial arts classes for Kendo, Judo, Naginata, Shorinji-kenpo, Karate, and Kyudo. Aikido classes are held at Budo-jo.
Local Social Education Hall (Mini Gymnasium)
The purpose of the Local Social Education Hall is to offer a place for developing human relationships as well as promoting physical and mental well-being on a volunteer basis, entrusting the management to the local community.
